Kayla DeVaughn
8th Grade Math
Hello! This is my first year teaching at SHMS. Before joining the Worcester County family, I taught sixth grade math in Somerset County for five years. I grew up on the Eastern Shore and graduated from Salisbury University in 2014. I’m currently working on my masters in Middle School Mathematics Education from there as well. In my free time, I love spending time with husband and daughter as well as watching the Washington Capitals anytime they’re playing.

Kiersten Conway
8th Grade ELA
Hi! My name is Kiersten Conway and this is my third year teaching 8th grade ELA here at SHMS. I graduated from Salisbury University with a degree in English- Secondary Education. Prior to teaching here, I taught for one year in Dorchester County. Being Worcester County born and raised, I was so happy to get the opportunity to teach in my local community. My students are my passion, and every year I look forward to getting to know them. I love that I have the chance to positively impact the life of someone else by building relationships and exposing them to diverse and interesting texts!
