Betty Dennis

4th Grade Teacher

Betty Dennis has been a teacher at Snow Hill Middle School for 13 years.  She has taught both 4th and 5th grades. Mrs. Dennis received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education and a Masters in English Second Language Learners  at Salisbury University.  Mrs. Dennis grew up in Pocomoke where she was proud to sport Warrior colors at all school events. She now resides in Ocean City with her husband (Greg) and enjoys watching the sunset each night.  Her proudest accomplishment is her daughter (Dana), her husband (James) and her loving grandchildren: Owen, Gavin, and Brynn. In her spare time she enjoys reading, going to the beach and spending time with her family.  

 


Kohut

Barbara Kohut

4th Grade Teacher

Barbara Kohut worked at Stephen Decatur Middle School in Berlin for 14 years teaching Integrated Language Arts. She is certified in Elementary Education, English, Administration, Curriculum Planning and testing coordination.
She received both her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and her Masters of Arts in English from Salisbury University. She also received a Masters of Science in Educational Leadership from Walden University. As you can see, she loves learning new things and considers herself a life-long learner!
She and her husband moved here in 1998 from New Jersey and Pennsylvania where they lived all of their lives prior to moving to the beach! They presently live in the northern end of Worcester County with their two sons, Kole and Lucas. In her spare time, she plays league softball and dodgeball. As a family, they spend warm days soaking up the sun, and watching their boys play baseball, soccer, become better surfers and swimmers each day. She and her husband spend the cold months watching their boys wrestle, play indoor soccer, and snowboard. As you can see, they rarely sit still! They live each day to its fullest savoring all of the memories they have made together and consider themselves extremely blessed.

Amanda Lee

4th Grade Teacher

Brooke Lee, previously Reynolds, has worked at Snow Hill Middle school for 4 years teaching Reading, Writing, & 100 Book Challenge.  She is certified in Elementary Education and Curriculum, Assessment, & Instruction.  She received  her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Towson University and received her Masters in Curriculum, Assessment and Instruction from Walden University.  Mrs. Lee grew up in Carroll County on a farm in Westminster where they raised beef cattle, chickens, pigs, and horses.  Mrs. Lee moved here in 2005 with her 3 children who have attended Snow Hill schools.  Mrs. Lee, her husband and their 5 children currently reside in Stockton with their 3 Labrador Retrievers.  In her spare time she loves to read and spend time with family.  Mrs. Lee believes all children have endless potential and are just one caring adult away from a success story.

Kwon

Midem Kwon

4th Grade Teacher

Midem Kwon taught 3rd grade at Mills Parole Elementary in Annapolis for 5 years.  This is her third year here in Worcester County, at SHMS, teaching 4th grade.  She is certified in Elementary Education and ESOL. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Communications: Multimedia from Rider University.  She also received her Masters of Arts in ESOL from Salisbury University.  Miss Kwon is from New Jersey and moved to Maryland.  She lives with her cat, Diego, who she received from a 3rd grade student.  She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching basketball, reading, and eating ice cream!  Miss Kwon believes that everyday is a gift and cherishes each moment in and out of the classroom!
